design thinking
This project was an exercise in the design principle of proximity - group related items together. Professional information was separated from class work artifacts. The challenge was in combining a standard design element, field report tiles, with discussion comments made elseform in the class. The ability to sketch allowed for quick ideation to finding a solution. In the end, I elected for a Pinterest-like approach. By creating a comment tile with a flexible height, comments and field reports could be grouped together, and presented in a chronological order. The contrast between fixed sized field report tiles, and variable height comment tiles is pleasing and intuitive.
